An eligible current Citizens Propane customer may earn a $50 credit to their Citizens Propane account for each qualifying new customer they refer. The credit is earned only after the new customer receives their first propane delivery of at least 100 gallons and pays the invoice for that delivery in full.
The referring customer must have an active residential or commercial Citizens Propane account when the referral is recorded and when the reward is issued. Credits are issued to the customer account, rather than to individual household members or employees of a business. Citizens Propane owners and employees are not eligible for rewards under this customer program.
Eligible referred customers include new residential and commercial customers, as well as returning former customers who left Citizens Propane in good standing. Referrals of eligible returning customers qualify under the same delivery and payment requirements as referrals of new customers.
Existing active customers, account-name changes, account transfers, and additional tanks or delivery locations for an existing customer do not qualify. A customer may not refer themselves or create duplicate accounts to earn a credit.
Family members may qualify if they are genuinely separate new customers with their own accounts and separate service addresses. Businesses under the same ownership as the referring account do not qualify as self-referrals.
For these terms, “new customer” includes an eligible returning former customer. For returning customers, “first delivery” means their first delivery upon returning during the promotion.
The new customer must identify the referring customer when submitting their initial service request online or when first contacting the office. Provide the referring customer’s full name and, if needed, their business name or another detail that helps the office identify the correct account. Do not post account numbers publicly.
If the referral was omitted at the initial inquiry, the new customer must contact the office to correct it before their first delivery. Referrals cannot be added after the first delivery. Citizens Propane will confirm the referral with the new customer when necessary.
Only one $50 referral credit will be issued for each qualifying new customer, regardless of the number of tanks, deliveries, or people claiming the referral. If more than one referring customer is named, the new customer must select one before the first delivery. Credits will not be split between accounts.
The new customer’s location must be within Citizens Propane’s service area and meet its normal account, equipment, safety, and delivery requirements. A service inquiry, estimate, tank installation, or scheduled delivery alone does not earn a referral credit. Cylinder exchanges, portable-cylinder refills, appliance purchases, and service-only work do not qualify.
The new customer must purchase at least 100 gallons on their first propane delivery to qualify for the referral reward. Separate deliveries cannot be combined to meet this minimum.
Citizens Propane will post the $50 credit after the new customer receives their first qualifying propane delivery of at least 100 gallons and pays the invoice for that delivery in full, once referral eligibility is verified. Deposits, partial payments, unpaid invoices, canceled deliveries, and returned or reversed payments do not satisfy the payment requirement. If the qualifying payment is later reversed or the referral is found to be fraudulent or duplicated, the associated referral credit may be reversed.
Referral credits may be applied to charges on the referring customer’s Citizens Propane account. Credits have no cash redemption value, cannot be transferred to another account, and cannot be exchanged for a refund. If the credit exceeds the account balance, the unused amount remains on the account for future charges. Referral credits do not expire while the account remains active; unused promotional credits are forfeited when the account closes.
Customers may earn multiple $50 credits for separate qualifying new customers, with no referral limit. A referred new customer may also receive the advertised new customer special if they independently meet that offer’s terms. The referral reward belongs to the referring customer; it is not an additional $50 discount for the new customer.
Referrals must be genuine. False information, duplicate accounts, unsolicited bulk messages, or misleading claims about Citizens Propane’s pricing or services may result in disqualification. Customers sharing a recommendation publicly to earn a reward should clearly disclose the incentive, for example: “I may receive a $50 account credit if you become a qualifying Citizens Propane customer.” A review or positive review is not required to participate.
Citizens Propane may confirm whether a referral credit has been earned but will not share the referred customer’s account balance, payment details, or other private account information with the referring customer.
The program runs from October 7, 2026, through December 31, 2026, inclusive. Referrals must be recorded during this period. The proposed treatment below allows qualifying delivery and payment to occur after December 31 for referrals recorded by that date; this deadline treatment still requires confirmation before publication. Changes apply to referrals recorded after the change takes effect. Referrals properly recorded before a change or program closure remain eligible under the terms in effect when recorded, provided the remaining delivery and payment requirements are completed.

A canceled delivery or a delivery of fewer than 100 gallons does not qualify. The discount does not apply to portable-cylinder refills, cylinder exchanges, appliance purchases, or service-only work.
The $50 discount is applied to the propane charge on the qualifying delivery invoice. It is a one-time delivery discount, has no cash redemption value, and cannot be transferred to another customer. Limit one $50 incentive per eligible customer during this promotion, regardless of the number of tanks or accounts.
The remaining invoice balance is payable under Citizens Propane’s normal payment terms. Other applicable charges, including installation, equipment, service, or delivery fees, are not waived by this $50 offer. Any applicable charges will be explained before the customer agrees to service.
Eligible customers renting a Citizens Propane tank receive a waiver of tank rent for the first 12 consecutive months, beginning on the date of their first qualifying propane delivery.The benefit applies across all tank sizes. Its actual value depends on the applicable tank-rental rate, up to $125.
The rent waiver covers tank rent only. It does not waive propane charges, installation, setup, safety-check, service, delivery, or other applicable charges. Citizens Propane will explain applicable charges before the customer agrees to service.
After the free year, normal tank-rental charges apply under the customer’s rental agreement. Citizens Propane will disclose the ongoing rental rate before enrollment. Customers remain responsible for complying with their tank-rental agreement throughout the free year. The benefit has no cash redemption value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for an additional delivery discount. Customers who own their tanks receive the $50 delivery discount only.
The service location must be within Citizens Propane’s service area and meet its normal account, tank, equipment, safety, and delivery requirements. Requesting service does not guarantee account approval, equipment availability, or a particular delivery date. Propane is billed at the applicable quoted price, less the $50 discount.
A referral is not required to receive this incentive. If an eligible customer is referred by a current Citizens Propane customer, the referring customer may separately qualify for a referral reward under the referral program’s terms. That reward does not increase the new or returning customer’s $50 delivery discount. Combining this incentive with other delivery discounts requires Citizens Propane’s approval.
